Distilled from malted barley, aged at least 3 years.
This distillery shows how much geography matters: Aging in that climate, this tastes older than anything aged just 3 years here in the USA. This was matured in MGP bourbon barrels and then in aged in STR wine casks. STR means that the wine casks have been scraped (or shaved), toasted and then re-charred.
This drinks very much like a Scotch whiskey. It has a fruity, substantial mouthfeel, and a little bit of a pleasant, almost bubbly buzz.
