Distilled at the Kilbeggan Distillery in Ireland (formerly the Cooley Distillery)
The manufacture notes that this is a blended Irish whiskey, distilled twice and aged four years in ex-bourbon barrels.
40% ABV. $22.
Color: Golden brown.
Nose: Faint hint of bourbon. No ethanol.
Palate; Reminds me of West Cork Irish Whiskey bourbon cask. Very smooth easy to drink. Slightly sweet. A smooth, easy sipper. However, it’s missing the full array of flavors I would expect from a whiskey. Not for sipping straight, this seems like it would serve better in a cocktail.
